Description
The Ori Kane Mushi 2 is a topwater beetle lure designed to create realistic surface action and attract aggressive strikes. Its compact profile and buoyant design make it ideal for targeting bass and pike in shallow waters. The beetle-style body produces subtle vibrations and splashes that mimic natural prey, while its responsive action works in both calm and moving water. Perfect for early morning and evening sessions when topwater activity peaks.
FECO is a tournament-tackle certification administered by JB/NBC (Japan Bass / Nippon Bass Club), Japan's main bass tournament organization. The exact acronym expansion isn't formally published anywhere — even Japanese industry sources just refer to it as the "FECO mark" (Fマーク). What's clear from JB/NBC's own materials is that it combines "F" (the visible F-shaped logo molded into the bait and printed on the package) with "eco" for ecological.
What the certification actually requires:
To carry the FECO mark, a soft plastic must pass European environmental tests — specifically RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Substances of Very High Concern). The original push came from Lake Biwa, where Japan's biggest tournament circuit feared a public backlash if baits containing phthalates or other suspected endocrine disruptors were being snapped off and left in the water. JB/NBC made FECO certification mandatory for soft plastics used in its tournaments, and manufacturers rushed to certify their lineups.
